This fragment preserves the neck, two curved loop handles, and a portion of the body of a large terracotta amphora, with the remainder of the vessel missing along jagged, broken edges. The surface is heavily encrusted with white calcareous marine deposits, including barnacle like growths and tube worm casings, consistent with long term submersion in a marine environment. A cross section near one broken edge reveals dark banding, likely the interior throwing rings left by the potter's wheel. The piece is displayed on a custom metal stand.
