These antique Arapaho child's moccasins are constructed from antelope hide with sinew sewing and fully beaded uppers in a geometric design incorporating green, white, and blue glass beads on a white ground, a color palette and layout consistent with late 19th-century Arapaho beadwork traditions. The sinew-sewn construction and hide sole reflect the technical practices of Plains moccasin making in the period, and the scale indicates these were made for a young child.
