A large elongated oval cabochon of blue turquoise, patched across its face with tan and rust brown matrix, is set upright in a plain silver bezel. A heavy twisted silver rope frames the setting completely, with applied leaves and silver beads worked down each side toward the shank. A fracture runs across the lower third of the stone, and the silver carries a soft aged patina consistent with early hand work. In a US size 9 it is a tall, substantial ring made for wear.
