The pin holds ten hand cut turquoise stones ranging from deep blue to pale green, each set in a serrated bezel and arranged around a larger central stone within an elongated oval frame. The silverwork is built up with applied wire and rows of small silver drops between the settings, and the surface carries an even dark patina from age and wear. The reverse is fitted with a hinged pin stem and C catch.
