This low, wide Pomo coiled basket has a rounded, donut-like profile with steeply curved walls that roll inward to a narrow open top. The decoration consists of broad vertical panels of dark devil's claw alternating with the natural willow ground, creating a bold two-tone banded effect that wraps the full circumference of the form. The coiling is tight and even, and the surface has developed a warm honey-toned patina consistent with age and handling.
