The vessel is modeled as a head with a cylindrical spout rising from the crown and two small strap handles set at its base, the whole standing on a short flared foot. The face is worked in full relief with almond eyes under low brows, a broad triangular nose, a small closed mouth, and ears standing clear at the sides, while the surrounding surface carries dense incised ornament, a band of stepped fret motifs across the upper head above rows of fine chevron hatching that read as hair or a fitted cap. The clay is fired to an even grey black with a burnished sheen across the face and the higher relief, and the incised lines hold a lighter tone where the surface was cut before firing.
