The vessel is a low globular chamber on a tall flaring pedestal foot, with a tapering conical spout rising from the shoulder and a thick strap handle arching back from it to the body. A figure is modeled in the round where the spout meets the shoulder, wearing a tall stepped headdress with disc ear ornaments and a band of small studs across the brow, the face cut with lidded eyes and a small closed mouth. The upper half of the chamber carries a broad register of relief and stippled ornament running around the body, with raised panels worked against a densely punched ground, and the clay is fired to a grey black with a burnished sheen across the lower chamber and the foot.
