This pair of Colima Autlan-style standing figures depicts two individuals with large circular hoop earrings, incised crosshatch trousers, and elaborately modeled headdresses, one holding the arms crossed at the chest and the other with hands at the waist holding a belt or trophy element consistent with Mesoamerican ball game regalia. Both figures wear necklaces and are rendered with the compact, rounded proportions and textured surface treatment characteristic of the Autlan regional style within the broader Colima corpus. The pair is intact and comes with pre-1969 provenance from the Berg Collection.
