This Dole advertisement appeared in the June 1936 issue of Delineator and promoted the company's Hawaiian pineapple juice to mainland readers. A stylized surf rider glides above the scene in flat modern color, while a couple below toasts with glasses of juice among coral and flying fish, blending Art Deco design with the romance of the Islands. It survives as an example of the 1930s advertising that used Hawaiian imagery to build a national market for Dole's pineapple products.
