Eight plates are offered together, seven of them half length portraits and one a group of dancing figures shown full length. The portraits are colored in flat washes over the printed line, with red and blue turbans, striped blue mantles, silver gorgets and armbands, feathered headdresses, and a striped blanket worn over one shoulder, each sitter shown against a plain ground with the name lettered in capitals beneath the image. The publisher's line is printed below each title, the sheets retain their full margins with the plate impression visible, and the paper has toned to a warm cream with light foxing scattered across the wider margins.
