The figure stands on short bent legs with the feet cut as broad pads and the toes marked, the arms held slightly clear of the body with the hands closed against the hips, and a cord of twisted fiber wound several times around the waist. The head is carried large and oval on a short neck, worked with a high domed forehead beneath a raised browband, lidded eyes set wide, a long ridged nose, and ears rendered as deep pierced rings at the sides. The wood is a dense reddish brown with a hard glossy surface built up across the brow, the shoulders, and the abdomen where the piece was handled most.
