Length 18 inches
Provenance: Private Collection, Honolulu, Hawaii; Howard Nowes Ancient Art, New York, New York, April 22, 2013; Adolfo Schutz, Miami, Florida
The necklace is strung with rounded, uniform quartz beads in a clear to lightly frosted tone, each showing natural internal inclusions and fine fractures typical of rock crystal. The beads are consistent in size and shape along the length of the strand. A single larger teardrop shaped quartz pendant hangs at the center front of the necklace.
The pendant is faceted into a smooth, rounded drop form and shares the same clear quality as the strand beads. The necklace closes with a small metal hook clasp at the back. All beads and the pendant appear original to the piece, with consistent surface polish throughout.
