This small drawing is worked in pen and brown ink and shows a radiant central figure seated within a heavenly scene, the long haired figure lightly draped with one arm extended to the side and rays spreading from behind. Smaller figures gather at the lower corners, one or two kneeling with hands raised in prayer at the left and another turning at the right, while faint sketched forms of clouds and small heads fill the upper edges and base. The handling is rapid and open, laying in the composition in loose contour lines rather than finished detail.
The sheet is toned with light spotting consistent with age and is set within a gilt inner frame, a wide linen mount, and a beaded gilt outer frame. The drawing reads as a compositional study for a larger heavenly or glory scene. It is presented framed as shown.
