This framed advertising oleograph shows a wedding party gathered outside a house around a red open touring car. A man in a cap kneels at the rear of the automobile tying a sign reading just married to the back, while the driver leans out over the windshield and a woman sits in the passenger seat. Men in dark and white summer suits raise glasses at the left and center, women in white dresses and wide hats look on from beside a vine covered porch, and a sign for I.W. Harper Whiskey hangs at the upper right beside a bottle.
The image is signed Thornton at the lower right above a printed copyright line dated 1912 and a lithograph company credit. The original dark wood frame carries a gilt inner liner and is lettered I.W. Harper Whiskey across the top rail, with a title line along the bottom rail that has worn with age. The piece is offered in its original frame as shown.
