The set comprises a round buckle with two keepers and a tip, each inlaid in channel work with deep blue lapis divided by thin bands of red inlay set into silver channels. The buckle carries the lapis in radiating segments around the open center, with the red bands running outward like spokes, while the keepers and tip repeat the pattern in narrow horizontal stripes. Twisted wire borders frame each element, and the stones are cut flush with the silver so the surface reads as a continuous plane.
