This belt carries a removable sun face buckle mounted on a brown alligator textured leather strap. The buckle is modeled in relief with a raised face, one eye winking and the other open, a nose, and a broad smile, finished in bright silver and set within a crescent and a fan of pointed rays. A gold toned ring surrounds the face and continues into a plain frame that fastens the strap. The gold overlay on the surrounding ring shows notable tarnish and blue toned discoloration, while the modeled silver face remains bright. The alligator leather is worked in a rich brown and fitted with a keeper, and the buckle is signed by the maker and lifts off for use with other straps.
