A single strand of branch coral, each bead cut from a natural branch and polished but left in its own irregular form, so that no two lengths or profiles repeat along the strand. The colour is a deep brick red throughout, with darker pitting and small natural voids breaking the polished surfaces, and the beads run longer through the front of the necklace and shorter toward the back. The strand is knotted at intervals and finished to a length of 24 inches (61 cm). It is a substantial single strand made for wear.
