The ranger set comprises a buckle, two keepers, and a tip in sterling silver, the buckle cast and chased with scrolling foliate relief and the keepers and tip worked with fine line engraving. The set is mounted on a hand tooled leather belt carved with a floral and scroll pattern along its length, set with metal eyelets and worn dark with age. The leather shows heavy use with softened tooling and cracking at the fold, and the silver holds a dark patina in the recesses of the cast work.
