This is a genuine nose cone from a dismantled Model B-57 thermonuclear weapon, decommissioned and released as a collector item, numbered 047 of 980 available examples. The B-57 was a tactical nuclear bomb deployed by the United States Air Force from 1963 and retired from service in 1991 under arms reduction agreements, and its decommissioned components entered the collector market as documented relics of the Cold War nuclear arsenal. The Bakelite and polished steel construction retains the aerodynamic form of the original weapon, with the inscription confirming its authenticity and serial position within the release program.
