The ring has a broad shield-shaped face set with panels of black jade divided by thin silver lines, with a triangle of opal in the upper corner that flashes blue and green. The black jade is polished flush and the opal set level with it, the whole worked in an angular design and signed. The band steps up to the face in ridged, stacked shoulders, and the silver carries heavy tarnish across the shank. In a US size 9 1/2 at 19.39 grams, it is a wide, solid ring made for wear.
