This Navajo cuff carries a band of chip inlay turquoise worked into a stepped diamond pattern across the front of the silver band. Crushed turquoise fills the recessed design while stamped motifs of shells, sunbursts and crescents are worked into the silver around and between the inlay, all framed by stamped fan and sawtooth borders. The chip inlay technique, setting crushed stone into the silver ground, is characteristic of Navajo work from the 1960s.
