The buckle is an oval plate worked with concentric bands of chisel stamping, the outer border filled with fine scallop and line punches and the inner field carrying arcs of feather and crescent stamps that curve inward toward the middle. A round turquoise cabochon in a strong blue green sits at the center in a serrated bezel, held slightly proud of the plate. The silver surface is polished bright with the stamped recesses darkened, and the piece is scaled to a ranger or narrow belt strap.
