Six oval cabochons of natural turquoise, blue-green with faint matrix, are set in a single row across the face of the band. Each stone sits in a serrated silver bezel, divided from its neighbor by a small round silver bead. The band tapers from the row down to a plain shank. In a US size 7 3/4 at 10.90 grams, it is a wearable ring of moderate scale.
Larry Frank was a collector and scholar based in Taos, New Mexico, and the author of Indian Silver Jewelry of the Southwest, 1868 to 1930 and New Kingdom of the Saints.
