The buckle is sand cast with looping arms that arc outward from the center and curl back on themselves, leaving large open voids across the face and giving the piece a butterfly like symmetry. A single turquoise stone in green with heavy black spiderweb matrix is set at the center in a plain bezel, framed within a squared cast surround. The silver is thick and rounded with the soft molten contours left by the casting process, and the recesses hold a dark patina.
