The buckle is sand cast with paired scrolling arms that curl inward toward the center and enclose open ground on either side, giving the face a butterfly like symmetry. A single triangular turquoise stone with dark spidered matrix is set at the middle in a plain bezel, framed by cast bars carrying rows of file stamped notches. The silver is thick and heavy at 69 grams, with the softened molten edges left by the casting process and a dark patina held in the recesses.
