The buckle is sand cast with heavy scrolling arms that curl outward from the center and taper to rounded tips, leaving open ground between them. Three turquoise stones are set across the face in plain bezels, the central stone irregular in shape with brown matrix, flanked by two elongated stones with darker veining, each of a different cut. The cast silver holds the soft rounded contours and slightly pitted surface characteristic of the technique, with stamped accents along the arms and a dark patina in the recesses.
