This wide Navajo cuff is sand cast, poured into a carved tufa mold to produce its open, symmetrical design of curved and pointed silver elements. A single oval turquoise stone, green with brown matrix, sits in a plain bezel at the center of the openwork. The porous, hand finished cast surface and bold negative space are characteristic of Navajo tufa cast work of the 1940s, and the bracelet retains its old Clear Ridge Trading Post pawn tag dated 1972.
