The belt carries thirteen Morgan silver dollars mounted along a brown leather strap, each coin retaining its full obverse and reverse detail and secured through the leather with wire loops visible on the reverse. The buckle is sand cast with heavy crescent arms curling outward from a central column, applied with silver drops at the terminals and finished with the soft molten contours left by the sand mold. At nearly 620 grams the belt is among the heaviest of its kind, its weight carried in the coins as much as in the buckle.
