This contemporary Navajo storyteller cuff pairs a tufa textured sterling silver band with applied 18kt gold on the exterior, set with a running horse, a spiral, a cross and small gold accents across the roughened surface. The inner face carries a finely carved storyteller scene of a hogan, horses, figures and a mesa landscape beneath a clouded sky, worked in low relief so the picture reveals itself when the cuff is turned. The piece is signed and dated 2023, combining the sandstone texture and gold symbol work on the outside with a narrative panel hidden against the wrist.
