Navajo Three Stone Turquoise Ring, Beaded Border

$480.00

Navajo

Circa 1934 or earlier

Sterling silver and turquoise

Ring size 5

Provenance: Private collection, Taos, NM

Three rectangular turquoise stones, blue with dark matrix veining, are set one above the other in plain silver bezels at the center of the ring. A border of round silver beads frames the setting on all four sides, and the shank is built of three narrow bands worked with stamped and filed decoration. Documented as purchased in 1934, the ring dates to at or before that year, and the silver shows a soft aged patina consistent with early hand work. In a US size 5 it is a moderate ring made for wear.
