Navajo Three Stone Turquoise Ring, Split Shank

$700.00

Navajo

1930

Sterling silver and turquoise

Ring size 7

Provenance: Private collection, Taos, NM

Three oval turquoise cabochons are set one below the other down the length of the ring, ranging from deeper blue-green at the top to lighter blue with fine webbed matrix below. Each stone sits in a plain hand cut bezel flanked by a pair of round silver beads, mounted across a split shank of three narrow bands. The construction is light and open compared with the heavier work of the period, and the silver carries a soft aged patina throughout. In a US size 7 it is a slim, elongated ring made for wear.
