A large freeform cabochon of natural turquoise is set upright in a plain silver bezel edged with a twisted rope at the center of the ring. Heavy brown and black matrix covers much of the face of the stone, with blue turquoise reading strongest around the outer edges. Clusters of three round silver beads flank the setting at the sides and above, mounted on a wide shank, and the silver shows a soft aged patina. In a US size 12 at 23.7 grams, it is a wide, heavy ring made for wear.
