Two loops of turquoise heishi, each strung with hand cut discs that run through the full range of the material, from a pale blue green through sage and olive to a deep bottle green, with the drilling and the slight irregularity of each disc left visible along the strand. The upper end of each loop is finished with a barrel of red coral above a group of small round silver beads, and a second coral bead sits at the top of the strand where the loop closes. Toward the lower end of each strand a section of white shell heishi is set among the turquoise, breaking the green with a band of cream.
Jacla loops were originally worn as ear pendants and were later hung from necklaces, and strands of this age carry stones cut and drilled by hand before the introduction of powered equipment.
