An elongated oval cabochon of turquoise, blue-green with fine brown matrix veining, is set upright in a twisted silver rope bezel at the center of the ring. The setting is framed by applied silver leaves, scrollwork, and beadwork, with a silver flower at the base in the squash blossom manner. The piece is signed with the initials AM, and the silver shows a light aged patina. In a US size 9 at 17.52 grams, and measuring 1 3/4 inches (4.4 cm) long, it is a tall, ornate ring made for wear.
