A group of nine Neolithic implements, ranging from fully polished axe blades in honey flint, dark brown flint, and pale grey stone through to narrow chisel forms, a small pebble tool, and one large flint roughout left in the flaked state. The polished pieces retain smooth working faces and rounded butts, while the roughout shows the flake scars and remnant cortex of an axe abandoned or traded before grinding. Most carry old round paper collection labels with blue printed borders and handwritten ink inscriptions, and several are marked with painted red collection numbers including 798, 462, and 180. One label records a findspot in Mayenne, placing part of the group in western France and indicating a nineteenth century cabinet collection.
