This globular Pomo coiled basket has a full, rounded body with straight walls that taper slightly toward the open rim. The decoration is bold and covers most of the exterior surface, with large stepped geometric figures in deep redbud alternating with natural willow ground in broad vertical panels that extend from the base to the rim. The patterning continues visibly into the interior, and the overall condition is strong with the redbud retaining its rich dark brown color throughout.
