An oval turquoise sits at the center of the pendant in a serrated bezel ringed with small silver beads, blue green with a fine dark web breaking across the face and a darker patch of matrix at one end. Six oval coral cabochons radiate around it like petals, each in its own serrated bezel, the color running from a bright orange red to a deeper brick with the natural grain and small pits of the branch left visible. Silver beads and applied drops fill the spaces between the settings, larger balls sitting at the outer tips, and the whole is built on a shaped backplate cut to follow the star, with a heavy rounded bail soldered at the top.
