This pair of Plains dolls is dressed in native-tanned hide with fully beaded detailing throughout. The woman wears a fringed hide dress with a bone hairpipe breastplate, a red trade-cloth panel and long braids. Her leggings and moccasins are beaded to match.
The man wears a fringed hide shirt with beaded shoulder strips and a long hairpipe breastplate falling to the waist. A beaded belt crosses the hip above beaded leggings and moccasins. A closely comparable pair is illustrated on page 89 of Emma Hansen's Memory and Vision.
