A freeform cabochon of blue turquoise, marked with fine dark veining, is set in a plain raised silver bezel that sits across the width of the band. The shoulders are faced with panels of stingray skin, the traditional material for shagreen, its pebbled surface reading dark blue-grey with paler raised nodules and held between polished silver edges. The band is heavy and smooth on the inner face, the design contrasting the matte grain of the skin against bright silver. At 22.75 grams in a US size 11 3/4, it is a wide, substantial ring made for wear.
