A heavy chain of elongated oval links, each one solid and slightly flattened so the chain lies flat rather than rolling on the neck. The links are polished bright with a soft satin wear across the faces, and the chain fastens with a lobster clasp at one side. A second length of the same chain hangs from the front as a six inch drop, finished with a hinged fitting where it meets the necklace. At 113.11 grams the piece is substantial in the hand, the weight sitting evenly across the length. In a 16 inch length it is a close fitting necklace made for wear.
