The cuff is formed from sheet silver rolled into a wide band with a stepped and pierced fitting at one end and a plain edge at the other, the whole finished with beaded wire along both rims. Three oval carnelians are set in raised collets across the face, spaced along a ground of applied scrollwork in fine twisted wire, and the ground between the settings is fire gilded so the pattern reads warm gold against the white metal of the borders. The gilding has worn back to the silver across the high points and along the rims where the cuff sat against the wrist, and the carnelians are intact with the collets tight.
