The figure sits in a relaxed asymmetrical pose with the right leg folded in and the left dropped forward, the right hand laid over the knee with the fingers open and the left resting on the base behind. An utpala rises on a long stem from the left shoulder and opens into a blossom carrying a vajra on its upper face, the attribute that identifies the figure, while a tall five leaf crown sits above the brow with ribbons falling to the shoulders and the hair dressed in a high knot and in braids at the sides. Coral and turquoise cabochons are set into the crown, the necklace, the armlets, and the bracelets, and the metal carries a dark patinated brown with lighter wear along the raised edges of the crown and the forearms.
