The slide is a covered wagon in mosaic inlay, its canvas top cut from broad panels of mother of pearl that catch the light in different directions, with a row of narrow rounded staves below reading as the bows beneath the cover. The wagon body is a turquoise ground set with a run of dark red coral diamonds and half diamonds, framed at both ends by coral uprights that carry the tongue and the rear step. Two wheels are rimmed in coral with dark centres and small turquoise studs, each spoked in silver, and the slide hangs on a braided black leather cord.
