The squared face of the ring is inlaid with three flat bands of stone set flush against one another, a block of deep blue lapis above, a narrow stripe of red coral across the middle, and blue-green spiderweb turquoise filling the lower half. The stones are cut with straight edges and no dividing silver lines, so the panel reads as three fields of colour rather than a pattern. The mount is a heavy plain silver band, tapering from the face to the back with no stamping or applied work anywhere on it, and the piece is signed. At 20.81 grams in a US size 10 1/2, it is a wide, solid ring made for wear.
