This Zuni cuff is built as a large cluster rosette, with teardrop and oval turquoise cabochons radiating in rows from a central stone. Each cabochon sits in its own serrated bezel, the whole cluster framed by twisted rope wire and edged with round silver drop beads. The turquoise is natural and untreated, a blue green with dark matrix, closely matched across the many stones in the precise cluster style associated with Zuni work.
The rosette measures a full 2 3/4 inches across, making this a wide statement cuff that covers much of the back of the hand. Despite its size the piece weighs under 49 grams, the openwork setting and thin cabochons keeping it lighter than a solid band. The 7 1/2 inch circumference with a 1 1/4 inch gap suits a medium wrist and adjusts through the split triple band shank.
