Sterling silver and natural turquoise

A pair of round cluster earrings, each set with a ring of natural turquoise stones in sawtooth bezels around a central cabochon, encircled by a twisted silver rope. Applied silver raindrops fill the border between the settings, giving each a domed, radiating form. The turquoise is natural blue to blue green with light matrix, and the silver carries a darkened patina consistent with age.
Larry Frank was a Taos collector and scholar, co-author of Indian Silver Jewelry of the Southwest 1868 to 1930 and New Kingdom of the Saints.
