The pin takes the form of a Zia sun symbol, with four groups of stepped silver rays extending from a central disc framed by a twisted rope bezel. Inside the disc, the inlay is divided into quarters by an inset black cross, with green turquoise, pink and white shell, and black jade cut to fill each field, and a pale shell triangle set at the base. The reverse is fitted with a hinged pin stem and catch and carries a maker stamp.
