A large chocolate ware globular bat effigy vessel with triangular wings set flush to the head and decorated with punctuations. The open mouth of the bat serves as the mouth of the vessel. The surface shows ancient patina with root marks and strong mineral deposits. There is ancient loss to the toes on the left foot and a few repaired breaks in the rear lower body with restoration over the break lines. A very rare and possibly unique example.
